Connectors
GitLab repository
Connect a GitLab project with read-only repository access.
- Add GitLab repository, enter the project URL and select its ref and optional path prefix.
- For private projects, provide a project/personal access token with the read API/repository access required by your GitLab instance. Keep it scoped to the project; no write permission is needed.
- Run the connection test. For self-managed GitLab, the installation operator must allow the destination and configure trusted TLS certificates.
- Select sync, scope and CogLake role access, then save and run an initial import.
- Verify a known document in search and check that unrelated users cannot retrieve it.
The connector indexes supported repository files without running them. A fixed commit is a snapshot; choose a moving branch for ongoing updates. Check token expiry, repository visibility and rate limits when synchronization fails. Never disable network or TLS protections to make a private instance reachable.
