Getting started

Sign in

Open the CogLake address provided by your organization and sign in with either:

• your organization account through the configured identity provider, or
• a local account when local sign-in is enabled by an administrator.

Complete the second-factor step when requested. For SSO it belongs to your identity provider; supported local SaaS accounts can use CogLake's own authenticator setup. See account access and recovery.

Understand the navigation

The left navigation contains the areas available to your role:

1. Overview summarizes visible knowledge and recent activity.
2. Knowledge Base contains internal workspaces and connected sources.
3. Discover searches across everything you are permitted to access.
4. Administration appears with the sections allowed by your administrative permissions.
5. Chats, Projects, Agents and Automations support AI work when included and permitted.
6. Skills and Plugins & Tools manage reusable instructions and connected AI tools.

Missing items can reflect your role, organization policy, plan or installation. See availability before assuming an account error.

A useful first workflow

1. Open Knowledge Base and select a workspace or connected source.
2. Browse a folder, open a document, and inspect its preview.
3. Open Discover, enter a question or distinctive phrase, and run the search.
4. Open a result with View source file to see the matching content in context.
5. Use Open source when you need the original provider location.

Administrators should next review roles and permissions and configure the first connector.

A useful first AI task

Open New chat, choose an available model and ask a small question. Then try a task with one supported attachment or the CogLake Knowledge plugin. Inspect its source references and actual output before moving to recurring work. Continue with AI Workspace.

Initial organization setup

The initial privacy choice sets starting defaults, including AI data protection and personal resource policies. Review the individual settings afterward; the choice is not an irreversible mode. Select a personal theme or the company default and invite colleagues into the intended organization rather than asking them to create separate trial organizations.
