GitHub repository

1. Add GitHub repository and enter the repository URL. Choose the branch, tag or commit and optional path restriction supported by the form.
2. For a private repository, use a token with read access to that repository's contents; grant no write or organization-administration access. A public repository may work without a token, subject to provider rate limits.
3. Test the connection, choose sync frequency and scope, then grant CogLake role access.
4. Save and import a small documentation directory first. Search for a known README phrase after indexing.

This imports supported files, not executable repository code. Changes are picked up by later syncs. A pinned commit intentionally stays fixed. Do not index credentials or private directories unintentionally; restrict repository scope and verify visibility with an unauthorized CogLake account.
