Troubleshooting

Resolve common sign-in, visibility, connector, preview, search, and agent-access problems.

I cannot see a page or action

Ask an administrator to check both your role permissions and the resource scope for the relevant workspace or connector. A product permission alone does not grant access to every source.

  1. Confirm that you can open it in Knowledge Base.
  2. Check whether the connector scope includes its folder.
  3. Confirm that the connector has completed a sync after the source changed.
  4. Ask an administrator to inspect failed documents and index status in Diagnostics.
  5. Remember that source ACLs can intentionally hide the document.

A preview is unavailable

Use Open original to verify the source file. Administrators can inspect its processing status and retry extraction. Password-protected, unsafe, oversized, or unsupported files may intentionally remain without a rendered preview.

OAuth connection fails

Verify that the provider's redirect URI exactly matches the URI shown in the connector setup and that the configured client permits the requested scopes. Do not reuse credentials from another connector instance unless the provider setup was designed for it.

A sync is stuck or failed

Open Administration → Diagnostics, filter by connector, and inspect the latest job. Requeue transient job failures or retry individual processing failures after correcting the underlying problem.

An MCP client reports insufficient scope

The connected OAuth application or API key needs search:read for retrieval and knowledge:read for documents, links, graph traversal, and original-file access. Reconnect the client after changing an OAuth application's allowed scopes.
