Files, results and browser work

Attach source material, retrieve generated files and review work performed in a browser.

Upload and inspect files

Use the attachment action in the composer or the agent's file area. Wait for each upload to complete. An accepted upload is not a guarantee that every page, image, spreadsheet formula or media track can be interpreted by the selected model.

  • Text and extracted document content can be used by text models.
  • Images require a supported image-understanding model or an available extraction step.
  • Audio and video depend on the transcription and media processing available in the installation.
  • Password-protected or damaged files may need to be unlocked or repaired before upload.

See supported files. Never assume a file is temporary merely because it was used as input.

Results and downloads

Open the actual result attachment to preview or download it. Confirm its filename and contents. A generated link to an external site is different from a CogLake result file and may require separate access.

When sharing results, use the product's available sharing controls or download the permitted file. Copying a private URL does not automatically grant someone else access.

Browser tasks

If browser tools are available, describe the website and desired outcome. Use the provided live view when the site needs an interactive login or human confirmation. Do not send your login password in chat.

A browser can encounter access restrictions, CAPTCHAs or website limitations. The Website connector is a different feature: it synchronizes readable pages and is not a replacement for an interactive browser session.

App previews and work environments

Some tasks create a working environment or an app preview. Availability and access depend on the installation. A preview is not a permanent public deployment. Download or save deliverables before relying on them outside the task.

An active task and an idle preview have different lifetimes. If a preview expires, reopen the job and ask for the saved work to be made available again. Do not assume the temporary environment is a backup.

Storage and removal

Uploaded files, agent files and generated artifacts can consume storage. Removing a chat or agent can remove associated files. Refer to storage and retention before deleting the only copy of important work.
