Add knowledge
Turn new information into reviewed knowledge in the workspace you have selected.
The Add knowledge button in the Knowledge Base header is separate from the plus menu beside file search. Use Add knowledge for assisted capture; use the plus menu to upload a file or create a folder or note directly.
- 1Select the intended workspace
- 2Add information
- 3Review the proposed change
- 4Confirm the destination
- 5Verify the saved result
Capture information
- Open the intended internal workspace. A connector source is read-only.
- Select Add knowledge in the header.
- Provide the information and any supported input files. State where it belongs if you know.
- Review the proposed content, destination and any changes to existing knowledge before confirming.
- Open the saved file and check that it appears in the intended workspace. Search availability may follow processing.
The active workspace provides the scope; capture should not silently publish into an unrelated workspace. If the destination or permissions are wrong, cancel and select the correct workspace before submitting again.
Direct uploads and folders
Use the plus menu beside file search for files and folder uploads. Unsupported files are skipped or rejected with feedback; check the summary instead of assuming every selected file was imported. A folder with many files may partially succeed if individual files fail.
For a complete Obsidian vault, use the dedicated Obsidian import, which handles its supported links and attachments.
Check the outcome
Confirm the location, title and content. If a request fails after submission, check whether a result already exists before resending. Source material and instructions can be ambiguous; an assistant's proposed organization is not a substitute for your review.
